Alumni Week
A week-long event each year, where successful Muhlenberg Media & Communication and Film Studies Alumni network and hold workshops with current students.
Your Media & Communication experience continues outside of the classroom with numerous organizations, clubs and special projects.
As a media & communication major, you’ll start flexing your creative muscles as soon as you enter the program.
Students enjoy access to state-of-the-art production equipment including professional-quality digital video cameras, omnidirectional microphones, lighting kits, tripod systems and other production accessories.
Other hands-on learning opportunities include internships, service learning in the local community or a semester abroad in Ireland at Dublin City University. Some students join the department’s Honors Program; they complete an independent research project and engage in an oral defense of that thesis with a faculty committee during their senior year.
No matter your area of focus, you’ll be taught by expert faculty who are leaders in their fields. They’ll guide you to critically and ethically consume and produce media while exploring collaborations with programs such as film studies, dance, theatre, business, English, creative writing, psychology and more.
