Soprano Ellen Zimmer Lewis is recognized as a talented and gifted singer throughout the United States and Europe. Highlights of Miss Zimmer Lewis' operatic credits include: Leonora in La Forza del Destino, Giorgetta in Il Tabarro, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, Cio-Cio San in Madama Butterfly, and Alice Ford in Verdi's Falstaff. She also performed the title role in Carlisle Floyd's Susannah, directed by the composer himself. Ms. Zimmer Lewis' concert experience is also extensive. She has been featured in such works as Verdi’s Requiem, Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1942, Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Poulenc’s Gloria, Handel's Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria Beethoven's Choral Fantasy, Mozart's Mass in c minor, Dvorak's Te Deum, and the Mozart, Dvorak, and Fauré Requiems, Vivaldi’s Gloria and the Mass in G by Schubert. Ms. Zimmer Lewis teaches privately, has served as an adjudicator for NATS in Connecticut and resides in Pennsylvania with her husband, Darin Lewis, and their two children; Grace and Ben.
