Background
Vincent first came to Muhlenberg in 1995, serving as conductor for the Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre. He joined the Music Department in 2006 and now, in addition to accompanying, he teaches piano, encouraging his students to explore the different styles of music that interest them. He also coaches Musica da Camera, the student Chamber Music Ensemble, teaches conducting and enjoys collaborating with colleagues and students on recitals and various department music events. He has also accompanied ballet classes for the Dance Department.
Vincent has conducted over 40 area productions for the Muhlenberg Summer Theatre, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Company, DeSales University and Civic Theatre. For Muhlenberg he has provided new arrangements and orchestrations for productions of "The Beggar's Opera", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Pippin" and "An American Tragedy", a new Charles Strouse musical which premiered here in 2010. Vincent has extensive theatrical experience, the highlights of which include a European tour of "My Fair Lady" with Richard Chamberlain, arranging and accompanying "Free Fall", a one-woman show starring Sandy Duncan, and contributing arrangements and accompaniment for a Noel Coward birthday celebration at Carnegie Hall. In 2012 Vincent made his conducting debut with the Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra offering a program of Broadway and Operetta.
At B.U. Vincent studied piano with Anthony di Bonaventura and Composition with a host of resident and guest faculty.
