REHEARSALS

Begin Jan. 6, a week before spring semester.

You will be required to return early from winter break on Jan. 6 for an intensive week of rehearsals. The department will cover your meals for the week. After classes begin, we will rehearse Tuesday–Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Technical rehearsals will begin on Feb. 17.

The audition sign-up process has FIVE steps:
  1. Read the casting email carefully. (The information can also be found below and at muhlenberg.edu/tdstudents)
  2. Sign up for a seven-minute audition slot using this SignupGenius form.
  3. Read the script! Seriously, please read the scripts before you audition!
  4. Compete the audition information Google form
  5. Prepare an audition piece: EITHER…
a one-minute comtemporary monologue (no Shakespeare), OR
an audition side of your choice from this Sides Folder
Students currently studying abroad

If you are currently studying abroad / off-campus, you will submit a SELF-TAPE video of a monologue or a side of your choosing. Email the video to [email protected] no later than 5 pm on Sunday, Nov. 10.

Video instructions:

  • Shot in landscape mode (i.e. with your phone sideways)
  • Labeled with your first and last name and the date, e.g. MerylStreep_123120.  (If you suspect that other people have the same first and last name, please feel free to include a middle initial.)
  • Please slate your name at the beginning and the end of your video and include one fun fact about yourself (e.g. after winning the Oscar in 1980, Meryl accidentally left it in the ladies’ room during the Governor’s Ball).

You SHOULD fill out the Audition Google Form. You SHOULD NOT sign up for an audition appointment slot.
