The Theatre & Dance Department is sponsoring an interactive Zoom event that will bring 'Berg students together with several accomplished professional casting directors working in the stage, TV and film industries. Students will learn about how contemporary industry casting processes work, as well as about things they can do now to prepare for careers, whether they're actors, filmmakers, arts admin folks, or aspiring casting directors themselves.
This is also a non-partisan "Get Out the Vote" event, in which the panel of casting directors will share resources about voter registration, absentee voting for students, etc. Along the way, the panel will discuss how broad-based engagement with the world (like liberal arts focused training and participating in the political process) is not only good for art, but good for one's career.
