Video creation and video lecture caption are two areas growing within higher education. We use Panopto as our primary video platform.

This Panopto resource discusses how to record a video. Do note that you may use Panopto without a webcam, and that there is ability within the platform to adjust what secondary tracks are used as well.
You may upload existing video files into Panopto. You can batch copy and move Panopto videos.
Automatic captions are completed with each new video. You will need to go through these steps to activate and edit them. Do note that Panopto link mentions that there is a delay from the initial activation until the captions show (can be 8 hours for an hour video’s captions to appear as an example).
To use the folders in Panopto, there is the following documentation. Caution: Once a Panopto folder is created within Canvas, it must remain in its original location. This will avoid any access issues or interruptions.
To get Zoom recordings in Panopto, please refer to this one minute ITMS video and the accompanying documentation on how the Zoom to Panopto process works.
