How We Can Help

A student walks into the red doors of a stone building on the campus of Muhlenberg College.

Counseling Services utilizes a custom clinical care model of counseling. This means that sessions will focus on the issues/concerns at hand. If ongoing, continuous therapy is required, the student will be referred to a professional in the community. If a student requires medication management, the student may be referred for a psychiatric consultation.

Our counselors have training and experience with many student concerns, some of which are listed below:

Academic Concerns     Relationship Issues
Adjustment Issues          Roommate Issues
Alcohol/Drug Use and Abuse    Self-esteem
Anxiety/Panic   Self-injury
Depression   Sexual Assault
Eating Issues/Body Image   Sexuality Identity Issues
Family Concerns   Social Injustice
Grief/Loss   Stress Management
    Suicidal Thoughts/Behaviors
