Policy Statement
Trexler Library is responsible for building and maintaining a collection that supports the College's liberal arts education and lifelong learning mission. It is sometimes necessary to place certain collection items on Course Reserves in order to provide equal access to specific material for everyone in a particular course. Materials that are presently checked out may be recalled if a faculty member requests that particular item to be added to Course Reserves.
Policy Procedures
Regular circulating library materials are subject to be recalled by library staff members for course reserves. Recalled items will be due five calendar days from the recall date or due on the original due date, whichever is sooner.
A recall notice will be sent to individuals with recalled items through e-mail when the items are recalled. Once an item is recalled, it cannot be renewed.
If a patron still needs any items that have been recalled, they are strongly encouraged to reach out to Interlibrary Loan as soon as possible to see if an alternative item is available at another institution.
